So new to GT Talk, picked up an 1811. Suddenly pto won't work and ignition key does not start it anymore, was working fine. Can cross the solenoid with key on and it will start. Any thoughts?

Just picked up a basket case power king 1612, k301 blown head gasket and no spark, put on a kohler magnum 10 from my WH310-8. Now it runs and drives. Hydraulic lift on it. Pics tomorrow

If your tractors live in the great out of doors, it common for the ignition switches to go bad.
I'd start there.

Welcome to GTT. I would suspect one of the safety switches first. There is probably one under the seat and another for the PTO. Good Luck, Rick

As long as you leave them sitting under the wide open sky your going to be fighting problems on all of them.  Cheaper to put up some protection than it is to buy parts all the time.  A pallet building works fine and very inexpensive.  A tarp only gathers the moisture and traps it underneath and sometimes worse than out in the open.  Under a tree is just as bad.  Good luck with your delima.

I agree. I like tinkering but I do not like working on the same problem over and over again...

Only problem is if I build some type of shed, which one(s) gets the shed and which ones are still stuck outside...

Easy to solve that, build a huge one once and you're all set.

New ignition switch, no change. Do the cub cadets have a hydro neutral safety like the John deeres?

Did you check the fuse? Sometimes the fuse holders go bad so even if the fuse is good it could be the holder.
