So this past winter the nut that increases or decreases the amount of lock on the differential screwed itself loose, and came completely off the axle. It ended up actually going through the snowblower attachment, which was quite unexpected and noisy. I put it back on a few weeks ago with no issues.
Reading the manual, it appears there is supposed to be a stop of some sort so this can't happen. Is there a C-clip or something that is supposed to be on there somewhere? After the never-ending winter here in Wisconsin ends, and I pull the wheel weights off I will have a better look at it, but just curious what exactly I should be looking for or at.
