Anyone have a clue what these are. I believe they are plastic and not bakelite. Dark green in color with:

MCC 745C USA marked on them.

Looks like some really old snap ring buttons or retainers..  Most likely from decorative furniture or binding..  Best guess I can imagine..  

 

What size are they??

A pic with something for size reference would help.... first thing that comes to mind is a promotional toy of some kind, maybe a top as suggested. Perhaps a button with the "keeper" missing?
