I have a 1967 Sears Suburban tractor with a Tecumseh engine. The model number on the tag on the engine is 143.562012. My local small engine parts supplier did not find this number in their database. I read somewhere that this number may be a Sears number since Tecumseh made the engine for Sears. Is this number indeed a Tecumseh model number or a Sears model number? If it a Sears model number, does it correlate to a Tecumseh number?

I am trying to find a carb rebuild kit for this engine that is why I am trying to determine the correct model number.

Thank you for your help.

Do you know what model # the tractor is? Maybe the Suburban # ( Suburban10, 12, 14 etc)?

The model number is a Sears number. If you go to www.partsdirect.com and enter your model number you can look up the motor. The part number for the carburetor repair kit is 32256A and the price from Sears is $33.90. I hope this helps you out.
