I want to put ag tires on the front of my JD332. Can I put 16X8.5-8 on . Has any one gone with 18X9.5-8 and do the  fid? Bruce

Bruce,

If memory serves me correctly, the original front tire size for your 332 is 16x6.50-8. You could probably mount the 16x8.50-8's on the factory rims, however you'll be pulling the sidewalls in quite a bit. The only thing that I'd be concerned about going with bigger or wider tires is, 1: Will it effect your turning radius, and 2: Will it interfere with your power steering cylinder? I think the larger 18x9.50-8 will give you the biggest issues, and I don't think you'll get them mounted on the stock rims.

just wondering what is the advantage of an ag tire on the front. I can see if it's a 4wd. aside from looking cool any benefits?

I won't do Ag's on the front. Either turf or rib tires up there. Just doesn't look right to me.

Pretty much my thoughts. Is there any advantage to Ags' on the front that I'm not aware of. Anybody feel free to chime in.

I like three rib up front, for the look, but they have great traction. One solid rib always making contact with the ground. Just my opinion. Depends what you like.

Some guys are installing the ag's up front, mostly during Winter use, as they bite better which aids in turning abilities when using a front blade or plow.
