Got this for truck, mostly to flint IN and hold smack stuff. Can go in front of box for same. Debated on full width or angled sides, think this is better looking. Waiting for warmer day to put in mounts. Have to remove tailights aND drill two holes for pivots near gate latches.

[once again Cat's humor has me rolling]

GL,  That looks like it'd be a good brush guard for a side by side.

Wouldn't it be easier to next time buy a pickup with an 8 foot bed?

They look like brush guards for a GT.  Are you sure they go on your pickup?

Even tho it is a Bed Extender, not the reason I bought it. I want it more for the "flip-in" way to use and keep small stuff to back of truck, not sliding around. Even with angles, you can still wedge something in that spot, like a gas can with no or minimal strapping in. Idea of moving to front of bed seemed good too, for same purpose. I know about those bars that extend to put anywhere and boards accross in slots and such. I was always gonna get bigger bed on next truck, but changed my mind. Old truck never had much size issue, small tractors still fit in bed, or can leave gate down for some. With extended cab, even just an 8ft bed makes it into a Bus to park and drive.  Besides with me getting out of Hobbie soon, I won't be needing any extra capacity! :( :smilewink:

Have you tried to find one of those in a late model truck? I think it would be easier to find a Speedex painted up as a MM that Gary hasn't owned.....

No,  but I know the long beds are increasingly rare.    I'd like to have a crew cab long bed but they are crazy money.  The length don't bother me none because a crew/long would still be 20+ feet shorter than the Peterbilt straight truck I drive.  :rolling:

That's how I use mine, to keep stuff from sliding forward out of reach, had it since the kids gave it to me for Father's Day in 1996, moved from truck to truck. Very handy thing and I've used as an extender as well.

I really like mine. As you said, it keeps stuff from moving to the front of the bed. I treat the are it creates more like the trunk of a car. I dont haul lots of big stuff. Sometimes it does get in the way but all I have to do is remove it. It does help when hauling bigger stuff too. It can act like a load lock if the stuff isnt too big.

Well, finally got pix to work. Took phone off Wifi and it sent, twice even! I've always used basic uploader and clicked on that other version with something 9 needed?? It showed them, but when I sent, said needed to mark save or attach or something witch basic doesn't need? SO, went back to basic, then when seen here had both ways! Puter dumb, don't forget! THEN, realized didn't take with the thing out on gate, sheesh! Pix here, above.
