I'd put my money on bad grounds.  Is the solenoid making good contact with the body?

Take a analog or digital VOM an check for voltages on the solenoid, when it should be none


So if I have voltage when ignition is in off position then faulty ignition switch correct?

I haven't taken the solenoid off yet so that could definitely be the problem... I always overlook the obvious! Thanks for keeping on track guys!

Yeap if key switch off an still voltage (key switch has internal short) or something else is shorted putting voltage on solenoid.

When I rebuilt my 120 I had a similar problem...
