For the past few years I've been wanting to make it out to the Pa Plow day but haven't had the time. This year is looking good so I am getting my plow tractor ready.

If a one of my tractors sits in one place for more than a few days it turns into a shelf. After it was free of random parts, pieces, tools and lost items it was time to fire up the old beast. As usual she fired up and was running after the first pull of the rope, even on old gas. Since it was a nice day I even gave the 1050 a bath, it's first in years. She still cleans up nice too.

That's all I got done today. There is still a list of parts that need replaced before she is ready for the plow day.

I'd say a combination of both. The tires are BKT 23x10.50x12's but they run a little smaller similar to the Deestone tires

That should plow nicely. You should attend either FCVAEC or WPGTA plow days this year too, be closer for you to drive also.

I went to the WPGTA plow day two falls ago and had a good time.

I wasn't able to make it to the PA Plow day this year so instead I plan to go to a smaller local plow day next weekend.

Today I picked up a parts tractor so I would have the parts I need to make the 1050 ready for the plow day. The parts tractor is a Bolens 1220 that hasn't been well cared for over the years but there are still good parts left on it. I've already pulled the trans out to swap into my 1050.

I will be doing that soon and will post an update and pictures when I swap the transmissions.

Does the 1220 still have a serial number?

Sounds like he's already got her.  :D   Didn't you notice the trailer a little lighter going home from KY?

Alice is in the garage. I just used her yesterday! I will be on the lookout for any PA plates on vehicles, though!

Today I got the transmission swapped out with the one from the parts tractor. Tomorrow I will bolt the wheels on and go for a test drive to make sure everything works as it should.
