I am new to the Gilson/ Montgomery Ward world.  I have come into potential acquisition of a Ward 16 Varispeed.  I have seen other places that possibly some of these have front end loader attachments.  Can anyone tell me if that is true and if one can be placed on this tractor.  If it can I would love to know where to get one.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There was a loader attachment available, but are pretty rare.  You will have to have an dedicated pump for the loader.  Gilson/Wards garden tractors are tough, undervalued machines.  I would be worried about how well one would steer, mine get noticeably stiff with front mounted attachments such as a snowblower.  I would think a loader would make it worse, but I have stated before I don't see the use in a loader on a garden tractor.

I use mine all the time.
Currently taking out the wife's old terraced rock (weed) garden that she lost interest in.
Some of these rocks would put an old fart (me) in the hospital
