$30-$40 for a used harley points coil or new aftermarket for $50-$80+ just depends where you look.Ebay would be the easiest place to find one.

http://www.ebay.com/...l1W1YI1&vxp=mtr

http://www.ebay.com/...81UP0Ko&vxp=mtr

http://www.ebay.com/...QxW31Wb&vxp=mtr

http://www.ebay.com/...zZRfosb&vxp=mtr

Even at $80 it would Still be 1/2 the price of a kohler coil and last alot longer.Just make sure you get one for Points ignition.

Genuine Kohler list is $249, If it helps anyone I can go to $185

I'm not sure what exactly the quality is between the harely coils as there seems to be different version ones out there.

I wouldn't be surprised to find out that Kohler and Harley both get their coils from the same place. Kohler just charges more. Folks always say that Harleys are basically agricultural.

Your right, nice to keep things original ,but manufactors like Kohler are pricing there stuff out of reach for some, also don't be fooled with the major brands,Kohler also has been using stuff made in China, so you paying for the name in some cases

Here's a harley points coil that i got off ebay for for 40 bucks. I would have loved a oem coil but being a single father 250 for a tractor part is just not possible at this time.
