I'm making a trip (1 and half away) to pick up a 16/6. The grill is in good shape not broken , paint looks really good and it deck look rust free. It needs some carb work but everything seem to be well kept. I will post pics when I get home with it.

Nice I haven't played with the 16s at all...I know the 12s have plenty of power so you should like that.

Really Nice looking tractor.

Go pick up a fuel pump kit for it.More than likely the diaphragms are getting stiff. That's usually what makes the carbs act up on them.

Great machines! I have an SS/18 that is nearly identical to that. It may have the original fiber float in the carb and it could be hanging up. Brass floats are available. I saw a video where someone sanded the sides of the fiber float, so when it swells, it does not rub on the carb body. You should remove the gas tank, flush it out, and replace the fuel line and fuel filter. After that, trouble shoot the carburetor if you can't dial it in by making adjustments.

Nieces Birthday?   JUST what she wanted??   Found that to be the oddest part of this posting. :D  I always here to replace the plastic floats with metal on Onans to fix many problems. Easy to find, cost a little more, but out there.

She loves garden tractors and asked for one for her birthday.
