Michelle and I recently purchased a 195 with all the front end sheet metal off. No I know already im missing the hood hinges. Will hinges from smaller LGT's fit? If anybody can post pictures of how the grill, side panels, and hood should mount it would help alot.

Adam, download the parts manual. The hood hinges 1977-on are the same. At least, you will see an exploded view of how it goes together.

Here's a couple of pics of mine without the side panels on. If you need larger pics, I can e-mail them.

It is basically the same as the 165.

Yeah, it takes me a while to find some things and to figure out if I'm looking at the right model. I usually print out several pages and take out to the tractor to see for sure I'm looking at what I should be.

This is the page for the 1977 and newer tractors. You might contact the seller as he may have the hinges yet and just overlooked loading them. At least with the parts listing, you can figure out what will interchange(or missing) with other tractors. If you need a close-up of something, give me a shout and I'll see if I can get it posted or e-mailed to you in a larger size.
My grille has two bolts holding it at the bottom. The side panels sit in two slots and are held in place with the spring across the top. Really pretty simple once you see it together.

I need to buy some hood hinges, and hopefully I'll be able to make adjusting nuts and bolts that mount the side panels.

Sorry for taking so long to reply, just got back from Wichita. I will see about getting some close ups for you. One pair of adjusting bolts are 180 degree bends, might be a little hard to fab. Anyway, once I can get the pics, maybe things will start going together. Probably be tomorrow evening before I can post them.

I bought a pair of hinges off ebay lastnight. When I get them, I'll let you know how the install goes.

I'll be watching. If you need better or larger pics, send an e-mail and I can get some to you. Since I just had mine off for paint, I have a pretty good idea of how it fits. But I think once you get the hood on, the rest will come together. I did have to pull up on the upper braces before I tightened them to get the hood to line up with the top of the grille. Good luck.

The bottom of the grill there shoulb be spacers between the grill and frame. How tall should those be? Aso remember This is a 195, but so far most of it is similar but not identical. Im hoping the hinges are the same because I bought a pair off a 145-165. Kenny If you have time view the parts manual which is available on gttlk. The adjusting bolts on the bottom of the sides are a bit different. Those I'll have to make.

Yeah, I'm seeing several differences. My grille(cowling) bolts directly to #4(bracket) which is not used on a 195. No spacers there and I cannot find a call out for any for the 195. On the side panels, the rear adjusters for height seem to be the same, only the fronts are different. It doesn't give a different part # for the hood hinges, other than L/R hand. I printed out fig. #35 and the two pages of part #s so I could study what is different. I am unsure of how your grille(cowling) mounts at this time. I may look through the repair/service manual to see if anything shows there.

I am trying to contact a person on another forum who has a copy of the Jacobsen Master Parts List. He may have something that is more 195 specific. Also, trying to find anyone who has one of these beasts. They are rather rare.

I got a response for him, but he doesn't have anything to help. Got another person who has one of these. I asked if he could send me some pics of his. I'll keep plugging along and maybe I can find more info for you.
