Hey guys, what's the value of a MF 16? The engine is strong with no smoke or noise. The frame and fenders were freshly painted. All tires have good tread and new tubes. The deck is pretty rough with holes throughout. No 3 point. I don't have any pictures of it right now.

I know they are kinda rare so I guess that plays into the price somewhat but the only real comparable I could find was a post on here from back in 2011 when one with a few attachments sold for $1,900.

Value is only what you or someone else is willing to pay for any particular thing. Also rare is a word all to often used to describe something that was just not easily found in a particular area. Now as far as the price if you are trying to buy this item I will not pay over 200 for a garden tractor that is either incomplete or non running unless it is something that has sentimental value to me. If you are trying to sell this tractor then you need to figure out how much it is worth to you and what you are comfortable letting it go for. Just my two cents and not meant to be insulting just see this question a lot.

It seems like the Massey's sell better in Canada. I have seen the nicer ones priced 1200-2000, in the past, depending on attachments. There a running was one in MO for I believe $600 a while back but I don't think it lasted long

The ad above has been active for almost two years. So, imo, priced way too high.

Thanks for the replies. He is asking $600 for it. I wasn't sure if it was a decent deal or not. It does seem that people are willing to buy and or sell 16's at a higher price because they claim there are not many around my area. It kind of goes along with some people saying if you ever find a 16 with a 3 point for sale buy it because it may be the first and last one you see for sale.

That's a dollar a day for every day he won't sell it at that price.

I would be happier with $500 if it were me, I don't generally pay more than $200 to $300 for tractors unless they are complete with a few attachments and in good running condition.  if it runs and drives good and the tires are good than I would say $600 seems ok if you are comfortable with it.
