Looks great Kenny. I'm no expert in plowing but I use filled ags and around 90 lbs of weight per wheel here in Pa. Your soil may be friendlier there. I use -20 washer fluid in my tires. Allis sure is looking good and you did a great job setting up your plow.

I don't want to fill these tires as yet since I am thinking about switching to AG's.

I got out this morning and put the coulter on. A question was asked in another thread if a 12" coulter would work on a 10" plow. It's all the same except for the u-bolt. On the 10", it has an inch and a half hole spacing, the 12" has an inch and 5/8 spacing. Might be made to fit, but the u-bolt will be long as the beam it goes through is a half inch wider on the 12".

I got the chains lain out and proceeded to install them. They seem too big for these tires. They came with the Ford which had the same size tires on it.

On a side note, anyone going to Daniels plow day and would like some Deer Netting for their garden, give me a holler. I have 2 rolls, 7'X100' each. They are freebies! I'll post an add in the classifieds also.

I think the chains will work, may need to snug them up a little, but they will certainly help.

Chains will be fine Kenny, remember 2yrs ago at Daniels plowday when I bought the Unico of him, that tractor had 1 set of 50lb weights on it with a set of 4link chains and it pulled a 10" plow fine.

What is the overall height on those tires when inflated?  I'm guessing 15"-16".  Rick

I hope to mount and load them this weekend! That would give me 140 lbs. per tire above the tire/wheel weight! :dancingbanana:

Nice tires, that's what use on the front of my tractors and the back ones look beefy. Just wondering, is your plow 12" or 10".

I have both, on a 3 point hitch! With these tires, I hope to pull the 12" at Daniels again!
