It is interesting that the seller keeps listing those things as headlight covers. They are actually dummy headlights to fill in the holes where headlights could go if the customer ordered their Bolens tractor with headlights. If they did not order the tractor with headlights, those plastic discs are what they got instead. At least the holes were filled!

A 1254 tubeframe that I picked up some time ago had those dummy headlights.

These were most common on models like the 650,750,850,853 where headlights were optional I know I may be missing a few other models as well that used these

That is pretty cool. Learn something new everyday. I never realized the headlights were an option on some of the Bolens models. I thought they were standard.

Just looked in the Book and in 68' the Dual light kit cost around $8
Dont know why they even made it an option.... $8 really isn't that much of a savings if you chose to go without lights.
