Was my sister-in-laws involved with this?  She didn't know trains ran on tracks till she was 20 years old and my brother explained to her what those iron things were that went across the road.

Oh my ........ brings back some memories of my time in the Fire Service back in the 70s. Had a rookie try to crib the hose up off the tracks because he was afraid the vibrations would wear the hose out while we were fighting a lumber yard fire.                                                                                                                  Roger
