Hey , from some of you more experienced buyers . I have made a deal to get a tractor , it is about 500mi away .

What are some shipping options ? If I go pick it up it will be a 2 day trip and cost a bit . I was wondering if there are better options to have a shipper pick it up and bring it closer or right to me .

I need to get this from Rochester NY area to Near Grand Rapids Mich.

Thanks for any help here.

One of the best companies to deal with if you dont want to travel, very good guys and have had many Bolens tractors delivered this way.

Had a tiller shipped from MN to NY and it was about $350 , would have costed me that much in gas if I went myself.

Your two best options in my opinion are Fastenal or U-Ship . Fastenal is good if you can get the seller to drop off at a Fastenal location near them .It will need to be put on a Pallet .U-Ship someone you contract will pick up at seller`s location and bring to you . Fastenal will probably be cheaper. I have had good results with both Good Luck!

Thanks Dr Bolens - I listed it on u-ship and already have bids coming in ... :D

Too bad shipping will cost more than the machine. But it will be less than the trip .

If it is palletable, it would be more palatable to ship through Fastenal.

U-ship will probably be more than fastenal but you dont have to worry about crating and picking the item up, U-ship delivers right to your door and you can request status updates to track the shipment from the hauler.

I  recently made a purchase from Florida.

I sent the seller 2 ratchet straps and E-mailed the FASTENAL store that was doing the shipping to save a skid.

When the seller got to FASTENAL he dropped off the wagon and the store strapped it to the skid.

They will work  with you!

shipped a tractor from maine to Alabama via fastenal for only $200.  couldn't believe it.  took about 2 weeks but usually you aren't facing a time crunch to have this stuff at your door anyway.  great experience.
