I acquired an Allis 912 Hydro yesterday. It has a K321, not a 301 so it must have been replaced at some point. I cleaned it up a bit, gave it some needed TLC and it runs pretty good. The guy I got it from said it was brought to a scrap yard that his brother worked at. Unfortunately, the deck didn't make it out alive. The only attachment I have is the modified Sears blade and would like to find another deck for it to make it more useful for me, or the next guy.

Anyway, the original exhaust is intact but the muffler is shot and I am looking for a replacement. Just wondering if there is anything available or an aftermarket that will fit. I'd like to stay as close to original as possible.

I've had a few AC and Simplicity tractors in the past but this is the newest I've had and don't know much about them. Any help would be appreciated, along with useful general info or opinions on these particular models.

Tractor seems nice, BUT, why is the blade about a foot farther away from tractor than needed?  Seems it should be able to be mounted right up to grill area. I bet hard to reach THAT lever when in seat and blade down!  Must be time for a small Stack, heck with muffler as it was.  :smilewink:

Yes, you need to stand up to reach the lever. It could definitely be moved closer, but that's the way it came. If I hang onto it for a while, I will probably clean up the fabrication to make it fit properly, as proper as a Sears blade on an Allis tractor can be...

As for the stack, if a replacement muffler gets too expensive, anything that's quiet will do.

Too nice to be lost to a scrap yard anyway!

What engine do it have? I put a stack on Alice as that was the easy way out. She has a Kohler Mag 18 in her.

I believe it's supposed to have a K301 but it has a K321 now. I'm guessing the muffler would be the same on either.

There is not really an easy exit for the exhaust because of the position of the engine and the location of the hood and grill. In case a new muffler isn't the route I decide, is there anyone here that has built their own exhaust for this style of tractor? Just looking for other ideas.
