Even though I wasn't an AMX fan I thought  these were a good looking car,

Yes you guys are right, I got confused. Another nice AMC from that period was the Marlin. Looked a lot like the first Dodge Chargers.

I had a '65 Marlin, it was in super condition, painted and sold it, black and silver with 232 w/staged 2bbl and three speed with overdrive.

The Machine was available in multiple colors and most were not the red/white/blue combo. The Hurst SC 390 American were also available in at least three variations of the red/white/blue combo. They were very neat cars indeed. The Tri color combo was available on AMX and Javelin also. Another little performer of theirs was the little known Hornet SC 360.

Ah, the memories. Thanks for the pictures. I forgot about the Machine. Love the old cars. Amx was my favorite. Our city police force used Hornets and Matadors in their fleet back in the seventies. We had an 1968 Ambassador for our family car, in the early seventies. It was four door, three on the tree, with air conditioning, 290 engine, posi differential. Go like anything.
