I spotted this little gem on Gumtree in the UK. It looks complete but it has not been ran for some two years. I spoke to the seller and a deal was struck. He was well chuffed that it was going to a collector and that sealed the deal. It had a new clutch on it a few years back and the seller repainted the bonnet. It need a new tyre on the front apparently. A mate of his will be delivering it to me from Scotland to Devon, England on one of his regular sorties into England. :)

Here are some photos of it and it nice to see the centre cap on the steering wheel.

Looks like nice tractor.  That frame has a odd color to it!

Should be a 1969 that was the only year Bolens used that black steering wheel

Thanks Nick.

Hopefully in a few weeks once the cheque cleared. It's a good price and the guy's mate is delivering it from Scotland to Devon for a £100. That was the clincher!

Did you see the G14 on EBay. Sale stalled at £860 and the seller been offered a £1k off site!

Looks nice, there is a NOS center wheelcap going for 100$ on eBay at the moment so I agree, nice that it came with one. I believe you can get a reproduction decal for it BTW.

You can ask what you like but it don't mean you will get it that one has been there for a long time.  I buy tractors with steering wheel caps still on them for $100.  I also have 2 nos steering wheel caps that I got for $60 3 years ago.

Exactly, I doubt it will sell. Brian has nice reproduction ones going for less than half of that also listed. I bought a nice original 850 with a nice center wheelcap and a NOS plow for 225 last summer...lol

I texted the guy for details but i think he was in cloud land the bidding looked a bit iffy only 2 bidders and within 40 minutes and similar names

i dont think its sold

Great addition to your collection Andrew and it looks in great condition. I heard on the UK Bolens grapevine you were going for it :-)

Few years ago you would get $100.00 without a problem, but times do change,if I did a resto, the last thing I would want is a faded old cap,if your not doing a resto nothing wrong with an old cap
