What is the size of the rear wheel on a 220? When I look it up on tractordata.com it list the 12" and the 16". I thought the 200 series tractors all had 12" wheels.

All I've ever seen had 12" rims.

I was just fixing the flat rear tires on my Case 222. They are 23 x 8.5 x 12. I was going to put chains on while I had them off but, the set of chains I had out were about 8" too long. I will not cut these because I suspect that they go to the rears of my Bolens HT23. I'll just dig for more in the garage. There is a good owners manual for the 220 in our Manuals Section. Good Luck, Rick

I had a couple case 220's several years ago. Both had 12" wheels. 23 or 25" tires if memory serves me. With a 16" wheel the tires would have to be a low profile to clear the fenders.

They are more than likely getting information from case manuals. They lump the 200 & 400 models to save on amount of manuals for basicaly the same tractor with a few differences.

There has been a few glitches in the system lately, and the technical guys are looking into it.  Things like that are way beyond my ability, as it gets into things deep.  You don't want me having a key to the room where all those keys are....I'd mess everything up bad!  :smilewink:

I wonder if the 12 and 16 refer to the overall height of the tire.  Stock was 23x8.50x12

12" wheels are for all 200 & 3000 series tractors.
16" wheels are for all 400 & 4000 series tractors.
