I was just looking at the small collection of parts manuals I have and something came to mind. Is it possible that a bearing, bush or other component used on a tractor is also used on an attachment?

If that is a possibility it might be worth considering adding the attachment parts at some point in the future.

Just a thought

Iain

It is entirely possible that a part that is used on a tractor might also be used on an attachment. And I am not referring to nuts and bolts and washers and cotter pins. My plan all along has been to add as many attachments to the database as I can, once I have all of the tractors available added. I am not yet sure how far back we will be able to go, but I think at least back to the late 1940's.

Blackjackjakexxix told me he thinks this effort might take a year; I hope it will not take that long, but it might. In the mean time, I will be sharing the database periodically as it is developed.

I am hoping that some or one of you has either individual copies of Parts Lists for all of the G14 tractors, or the one Parts List that covers them all (1453-01 through -05). I downloaded a PDF of the one that covers them all, but the PDF is almost unreadable, and it did not convert to an Excel file in anything like what I would hope for. I am not wanting to type the entire thing if I can help it.

We are nearing the end of the conversions and proofreading for all of the Tube Frames we have been able to find Parts Lists for, or the specific modifications that Bolens published and I got from Jerome.

29 Chev (Stew), Bruce Dorsi, and slf-uk (Iain) deserve special mention because they have been instrumental in getting many of the files proofread for me. :worship:  (They act like they are enjoying themselves, although I certainly cannot see why.) :smilewink:

Both Rick Show and Bruce Dorsi have sent copies of the 1453 (G14) Parts List that I needed to avoid a bunch of wretched typing. My thanks to both. I am now back at it.

I'm just bringing this back up to check on progress.

It is a HUGE undertaking, and I can understand the amount of time needed.

Got tied up on some other things, but I do plan on starting it up again in the next couple of weeks now that I am done with a complex work assignment.
