The pulling ring is finished for the timing gear on the crank. Just need to locate some grade 8 bolts.

I agree that asking Boomer is the way to go, the man is an Onan genius.

I have contacted him and he has already helped answer some questions. Great guy.

Got some bolts and removed the timing gear. Shot a vid of the gear removal. When the gear popped loose we thought one of the bolts had snapped, but it was just the gear breaking free.

I installed the P220 I have to get it up and running while the P218 gets rebuilt. Spent some time loosening up a few parts and everything seems to work on it now. I have started a list of items that will need to be rebuilt or replaced like the front end and hydro damper/absorber.  After getting it put together it was pic time and then give it its first job pulling our large burn barrel.

Great to see another save, you'll love it with either engine!

I just missed another 318 that my niece told me about. It had a blown engine also and he was asking $300 for it. :(

The only part missing on this tractor that I have found so far is the Headlight harness. Ordered one on ebay and it was delivered today. Now I need to look into some LED bulbs.

I plugged in the used headlight harness and got nothing. Got the volt meter out and checked at the plug, no power. Checked the switch terminals, still nothing. Went to the switch plug and found power. When I pulled the plug off of the switch I could see the problem. Nothing but rust so a quick run thru the bead blaster and some dielectric got things working. How often can you buy a used harness and all of the bulbs are good? smiley-confused013.gif Now I need to clean the lens.
