The US Army Corps of Engineers was evaluating those Unimogs in the 1970s. We went with the JD410 for awhile but inorder to complicate maintenance and supply they also got some Case 580s. I didn't even know about the Cases until 1981 when I spent 2 weeks with the Engineer  Battalion on FT Devens. The Unimogs have shown up in alot of places and I'm curious about their performance. Good Luck, Rick

Anybody remember the number of the EN BN at Devens? I was with the 11th on Belvoir, the 39th on Benning and want to say the 41st for Devens but that doesn't click.
