3 dogs, 2 birds, and a fish tank; no more animals.

We have a zoo

2 dogs

large fish tank

2 ponds

5 snakes

2 lizards

3 turtles

2 guinea pigs

2 chinchillas

2 goats

bunch of rabbits

dozen or so chickens

our cat past away suddenly at 7 yrs old in August, been trying to fight wife off for another one. He was my elderly mom's best bud so she is still missing him and her dog is going to pass today or next couple days so new kitten may help her not get as depressed.

If she's into this kind of thing a day at the Spa; massage, facial, new nails etc.etc. Not my kind of fun but several of my friends just love the pampering.

That may backfire on him.  ...If he can do her work one day, he should be able to do her work more often, according to her !

I've been married 39-1/2 years.  .....I know how to fix the washer & dryer, but I don't know how to use them.  :smilewink:   .....I can fix the vacuum, but I have never figured out how to vacuum carpets.  :smilewink:   .....I can repair the range & oven, but I don't know what they are for.  :smilewink:

However, when my wife is not around, I can launder my clothes, keep things clean, and cook my meals. ....I guess I become smarter when she's not here ??

You were smarter Bruce until she reads this!

I never have any idea what to do besides a card.

I was in the store today and noticed bird suet.  She hasn't had anything outside her window for them this winter so I suspect she's out.

She's getting birds at the window for Valentines.

The 15th is our Anniversary.  I need to come up with another idea.  Maybe deer corn..........

Carolyn makes all her suet.  birds love it and won't eat the store bought stuff.  Can post the mixture if anyone wants it.  Fairly cheep to make too.

I'm taking her to see her brothers family.

Just happens to be couple towns from where I'm picking up a couple tractors . :smilewink:  :smilewink: But it still counts, take her out to dinner on the way back.

I went to this site on a whim...
http://www.familylif...eas-for-couples

One of the ideas was quaint. Get a dz roses and tie a small piece of paper to each. On the paper, write things she likes to do that you don't necessarily participate in. Like "symphony" or "visit the inlays" or "dancing" or (in my case) "bowling" and tell here these are coupons for me to take her to do these items with her.

If you're really brave and trust your wife, I suppose a "Wild" card or two would be an OK thing... Just not 12 of them.

Keeping with the original request of keeping the price down, I usually pick up a few small things at the dollar store (card, candy, candles etc). I will probably make dinner as well. We share the cooking because we both work full time, but I will put a little extra effort into it this time, probably roast beef in the crock pot, homemade bread and possibly a homemade dessert.
