I'd really like to put a plow blade on my GT/18 (6-speed, belt drive, briggs twin). Can anyone recommend part numbers (old and/or recent) that might work or otherwise help me figure out what I need to look for?

I've tried searching but can't find any good guidance.

Thanks!

That should help folks determine what you need.

Newer one! heh!  I had a mid 80's similar to that with blade. Was type with real long lift and turn lever that went from blade area way back to driver. Kinda floppy, but worked. Might still have a picture if I look, not sure. Probly no close up of the blade.  Would think Sears Parts might have a blow up drawing at least if you search there. Look up your tractor with the long 917.****** type number and then might be attachments link to find correct ones. I'm sure the parts themselves are no longer avail, but they do have diagrams for lots of old items there.

I bought a snow blade from sears a couple weeks ago. Web says it fits most sears, and several other brands with qualifications. It's like the blade described above with the long handle to the driver seat. comes with a year warranty, has worked so far (2 snows) reasonably well. I'm still not sure what year or model tractor I have, but it's newer, I think around 2000 or 2001. was about 250. at sears.

That looks like an early 80's tractor. You may need to look for a used plow.

I just uploaded an attachment fit-up guide for 508 and 917 tractors.

If your tractor is listed, it will have the part numbers for various attachments.

Good luck,

JiminRI
