Not sure where to post this, so hopefully the right person sees this. I have a friend who is in process of restoring an old walking plow and and he asked me about how to keep the moldboard in a polished look permanently but he wants to leave it shiny not black paint. I suggested maybe a clearcoat over a polished moldboard but didn't know how well it would adhere. What have you seen it done to accomplish this. Thanks

Chromium plating may be a possibility

Polish it and spray it with a good clear coat?

Maybe some kind of adhesion promoter

That would be all I could think of.
