Thats really going to pop when you add the hood fenders and seat!

We're all going to have to repaint our Bolens now !

That tractor looks better with each shiny part you add - I am jealous

I painted my first 1050 Bolens wrong

I used good old leather brown

Now that I know what's right

All I can do is frown

And then several years later I did it once more

Still not knowing the correct score

Oh the error, error of my ways

Makes me want to cry so much

Cause now I know I have two 1050's

That require a magic metallic brown paint brush.

Very nice, I'm not eager to get to the hood repair myself - they need quite a bit of work.

Where did you end up getting your decals?

Well now that's a whole new story,I contacted Sam's Bolens,as I couldn't find anyone else listing decals for the 1000,Sam sells a set where you get some of the correct decals but not all of them,(which he was up front and told me so)so I contacted Maple Hunter and acquired a 1050 set to get the few others I needed,(cheaper for what I needed),with Sam's you don't get the shifter/brake pattern and the pto decal isn't correct, but what I really needed form him which nobody had right was the chrome style 1000  decal for the front of the hood,oh well, went this far so whats a couple more dollars trying to make it right,if I notice any other issues I'll let you guys know

The PO had attempted to fix them via the SMAW process but the porosity and slag inclusion rendered what weld was there weak and extremely unattractive .

I am not a welder so I had to look up SMAW first thing I found was Shoulder-launched Multipurpose Assault Weapon I laughed more than I should have
