It is horizontal. That's as much as I know though! You can write a very thick book of "What I Don't Know About Springfield Tractors". LOL

I already started one, it is an Article on here somewhere LOL.

Hi Bruce, I have a 65TE6 with the fiberglass fender assembly. I am looking for a manual for this tractor. Would you have a downloadable manual for this year and model?

Sorry David, but that is not produced by Quick Manufacturing Incorporated, as it is way newer than 1966 (when they sold out). I know nothing about your tractor.

Looks very much like a DynaMark unit I used to own. I believe the brakes were a cam lever that operated a set of pads against a disc. The pin that actually pushes against the pads seizes and you have no brakes. Verify the linkage is moving as per what makes sense, then you will probably need to dig in to it.

If I remember correctly, there were 2 bolts that held the bracket and some linkage to get it off, then you can work on it out of the tractor. Good luck

David: As wvbuzzmaster said, that is not a Springfield tractor as we know them. .......Check over the rest of the tractor for a manufacturer's nameplate. .....This should have the maker's name & address and a model number.

I can identify the year and model of any Springfield just by looking at a few pictures. Other than that there are not any sites that can help other than here. I am one of, if not the biggest collectors of Springfield tractors and equipment (buy any of it I can afford and get to and have at least a dozen I'd say.)

Also, welcome to GTTalk, glad you joined up.

I posted 3 pages of info on how to identify the various models of Springfield Suburban Tractors.

Link: Springfield Suburban Tractor Identification - Manuals - Garden Tractor Talk - Forums

Bruce, I can't find this info anymore? Do you know where it is or do you still have it to upload again?

Hi Everyone, my name is 3509Cecil and I'm new to the forum. I bought at an auction a Springfield 25 Mower a few days ago. The serial # is 60R-25914. The mower is complete and I'm in the process of getting it running now. Does any one have a manual or any other info.on this mower ? Any help would be most appreciated   Thanks Cecil.
