It is coming along nicely.

Thanks it's been a struggle for me to actually finish a project from start to finish. I'm aiming to paint the rims an the couple other pieces next week an then all the white will be done. An on to fiberglass repair an purple for the hood.

That sounds like me. Half way through a project I start losing interest. Then I barely get it finished and rush through the last and it never looks as good as I think it should.

The hood on this will be base/clear so I'll spray it at a friends house I want the clear to turn out right on this. The white is enamel so I can't sand an buff it once it sets up good.

Well the.pictures in the above post failed its been way to long since i have done glass work an i didn't add enough hardener. So 2 days ago I took a spreader an scraped to resin an mat off the hood scrubbed it with lacquer thinner let it dry an started over with more hardener. It worked this time an yesterday I flipped the hood an did the outside of it since the inside was done the previous night. Tonight I put on the first coat of a light weight polyester body filler I sanded most of it down smooth before I came in for the night hopefully by the time I come in tomorrow for the night it'll be in primer.

Is the learning curve on fiberglass work long? I've never done it.

It's very hands on, in all the 6 years of auto body schooling I have none of the instructors really got into how to repair it for students to get hands on experience so I asked a few people I know that have done it for advice an a little engeunity an it worked. As far as a learning curve I would say to you have your patch pieces cut an ready before you mix the resin an hardener, apply some resin to the repair area first then set the patch in place an work the patch into the resin, apply more resin to the patch an work that in try to spread the resin evenly like you would a regular filler to save work after it sets up.

I forgot I had pics of the hood sitting on the tractor so here they are an.a pic of the rims that are half painted. As for the hood well I have two flow meters ( runs ) that need to be sanded out so tomorrow I'll sand them out an spray it again after Avery goes to.bed I'm happy with the purple that i picked out an i can't wait to.pick the seat up since i know that is done too.
