Nice! I've been thinking of a blast cabinet, how do you like that one? I've always had good luck with their products.

Haven`t had much time to use it yet but seems to work well.

I'm glad I don't live closer to Eastwood.. I'd probably spend way too much money in there..

This is an import, yet looks much better than say a Harbor Freight one. I like the opening top best. That way you can also change the plastic liners on the view window (which I don't see on here, should use that). Most of their other stuff has the ends open up. I made mine with end that opens, but then hinged the bigger window I made at top to swing up and change the plastic. I can put some things in that way too if I wanted, but is kinda small space being just the window area that opens.  Think you will find that light is also not too good and want to put in some floodlights, one each side.

You're going to love the blast cabinet, Don, and wonder how you ever got by without one !!

Which media do you plan on using?

I've been using medium-grit glass beads for the past 20+ years, and have never found a need to switch to any other media.

By playing with air pressure and the distance from the nozzle, I've blasted everything from carb parts (soft) to heavily rusted steel brackets.

Do you have any pix of your cabinet? I do have the plastic on the window and also ordered extra ones to have on hand.

Hi Bruce,

I am using Black Diamond medium media at this point. It`s base materiel is coal slag very little dust and no silica. And it is only $8.00 a 40 or 50 lb bag at TSC
