I was at my local bone yard today and found a couple of APU diesels. One is out of the APU frame but looked complete the other is still mounted in the APU frame. They are both Kubota Z482 .479 liter engines. Going by the specs on the Kubota web page they are rated at about 13 hp,I forgot the actual figure. If anyone is interested I can get a price for you. They are located in Niota Tn which is fifty miles south of Knoxvile on I-75.

I bought the one not mounted in the APU frame today for $50.00. When I get it running I will post a video of it running. Do not know what I will do with it yet but I figured it needed to come home with me,lol

Good engines and you certainly got a deal at that price.

I buy a lot from them and send a lot of scrap their way so I get some pretty good deals. I always start off with "how much for that non-runner that might be junk?" That usuallt get the negotiation off in my favor.
