Glad you loved the area Aaron! Did you get out to the Badlands? That is another pretty cool place to visit east of here also. I was a 10 year old kid in 1966---LOL! Anyway, if you get a chance to come out this way sometime, let me know. We have room for campers.

Yes I did. We actually drove from Virginia go Vancouver Canada on that trip. I went with my grand parents in a rv. It was a great trip. So many awesome memories.

Be awhile before I get to do that trip again. Little kids and road trips don't mix!

I'm so surprised no one has shown pictures of the woman next door yet.

There needs to be strict rules about that!

Thanks All, Out of all the posts I have done, this has turned into a real educational and interesting one. I did this mainly because of the activity that SpaceX is doing in my area, and I live (and go to) the largest Military installation in the US, Ft. Hood. I also retired from there. There has been many posts others made of places I would like to visit, and some very interesting sites posted. I am like some of you that moved out to a quiet "presumed" area, Cattle and Coyote were about the only noises I heard when I moved here, but oh well, what can you do? Keep them coming.

We also do have Ellsworth Air Force Base (SAC) about 8 miles northeast. Mom worked civil service in base supply until she retired in 1985. Lots of low level B-1 passes right over our place still---used to be B-52's. Still see an occasional B-52. Both are magnificent birds!

Wasn't in the shop more than 10 minuets this evening and the walls started vibrating and the roll up door had a rattle fit.

Maybe this will brighten your day !

I have a wonderful 83 YO woman 'Nancy' Who lives next door . Can you guess what her passion is?

All I have to do is look over the fence and it is like this all summer long.

Not within eye sight but ear shot is Watkins Glen International Raceway. A short drive up the road an im in the finger lakes wine country over looking Senca lake. An about 10 miles to the south I have the Corning Museum of Glass. An I guess you could count the pot head out back a meth/drug house 2 doors down.

Looks like some neighbors are complaining now. http://www.kwtx.com/...-368106531.html

"One time it even almost blew me out of my bed," said Charles Dawson who lives less than a mile from the facility."

I can't imagine living a mile from it, I am around 6 miles away and have the walls rattle.

I live down the road from a place called non lethal technology's, they make smoke grenades and bean bag shotgun rounds and a bunch of other stuff. Must be some flammable stuff because the place burns down about every 5 years and they rebuild it, I'd hate to be paying for there insurance.
