Let's try things that are within sight or ear shot, but anything interesting is game.

I live within range of the Space X Rocket test facility. They have been rather active lately, rumbles daily, with some good ones that rattle the shop tin. Oh, and they have blown things up too.

Nothing close enough to see but we do live within about 10 minutes of berkshire bird paradise, pretty neat place to visit.  plus they were the only place in this country that had a breeding program for bald eagles for the longest time, I think they are still the only place in the country to successfully breed and release wild bald eagles.

Depends on what you call interesting?  I live across town diagonally from the Iowa Speedway, that has races on national TV.                              You can see the lights on the horizon and hear the cars going around the track.

Uncle Willie and KennyP, Deer's, Coyotes, and Longhorns a plenty here. Rumbles and Booms are the interesting things from Ft. Hood and SpaceX. Really cool when it is overcast and they light a big candle, lights the place up like day for miles. A NASCAR track would be cool too, I bet when the wind is right the rumbles would be awesome!

300 yards from an airport that's used daily for military practice as well as a bunch of cool private jets and commercial stuff. I can also see the space launches from Wallops Island from my rear deck.

I can't top that one!  About the only thing I have that may spark some interest is Lernerville Speedway.  It's supposed to be one of the top dirt tracks in the nation.  Maybe some die hard race fans here have heard of it.  Otherwise, truly a mundane place to live.  Oh, I may have a meth lab close by, does that count?  I hear the neighbor kid has been cookin.  I hope no booms come from that!

Just wildlife here, stood seven feet from a black bear last year. It was early morning and I was smoking on the porch looked over to my shed and there he was standing about six foot tall on his hind legs, I took off for the door and thought I saw a warewolf or something, calmed down a bit and realized what it was! Took a week to tell the wife, never told her I ran like a sissy.
