It's not natural. It's almost February, and it's raining cats and dogs outside.

The streets are bad now, they are going to be miserable tomorrow morning.

Yep. we went from buried in drifts walking to the barns, 2 days later we are sloping through soup/mud, they say we might hit 50 F by Friday.  Strange winter here too. Honestly I'm O.K. with it though, that bitter cold we usually have from Nov to March is getting harder to take each year.

Rain here too, no snow has come down in two ands half weeks. This time last year was when the big snow storms started. Never stopped until April.

Rain and fog here and the snow is disappearing. Dirt roads are still slippery though as the frost in the ground is keeping the surface cold enough to ice up overnight in places. Freezing up again tonight and more snow on Friday, although it looks like only maybe 4 inches instead of the major storm that was forecast.

We had rain all day yesterday in the mid 40s.  Then it dropped to 20 last night, froze the 10" of snow left on the ground into a SOLID BRICK!  I had a heck of a time walking from the cabin to the garage.

It's ugly, going to be cool, 30s high 20 lows till sat then 50 on Saturday and 54 on sunday!

50's left over from the last couple of days, early this morning. 40's now, north winds and showers, hard freeze next couple of nights, but at least the snow is almost all gone.

Was slick as snot on a doorknob last night, and today side roads and alleys where skating rinks. Main streets were pretty clear. They are calling for even warmer for the next couple of days, and then back to the minus temperatures. Calling for + 7C tomorrow (45F), then down to -12c (10F) for next week.

Yay fun

It got to +8C. today and there was water on the ice when I went fishing. Still 18" of ice, but man, was it ever slippery out there! Wind blew like crazy as well.

Part of me is jealous you got to do some ice fishing!  But man, I do hate the cold.  We won't get to do this year.  Temps back in the 50s this weekend and first part of next week, then high 30s the rest of the week, we will never get enough ice.  I rode out last night and checked one of the lakes we usually fish on, about an 1" of ice got started.
