Well its been a while I finally got some more time to spend with the 1250. I did get it started today while spraying fuel into the carb. but it will not run on its own. Going out to pull the carb off after dinner and give it a good cleaning.

Carb looks pretty nasty. is there something I can soak it in to clean it? I'm not much of a carb guy:confuse: so I don't want to tear it apart any more than I have to.. Wont have time to mess with it too much today leaving here in about 20 minutes to go pick up the new to me 1220:smile1:. and when I get it here I have to take the ugly weight off it..

I soak my carbs in a solution called "Awesome" Takes the gunk right out.
Its very cheap as well.
I'm sure there are specific solutions for carb cleaning but it works fine for me.

While your checking the carb, spend the time to check the fuel pump. If it dosnt pump or pumps weak, I suggest going with an electric pump. It will help with start up's alot.
