Our son in Nashville called this AM and said it was raining when he headed to work, turned to icy rain on the way and turned to snow when he got there. Said the boss called it a snow day and there was 3" on the ground when he was headed home.

Nothing here.  Thinking my snow blower is going to rust up before I ever get a chance to use it.  We just don't get the snow we used to get.  Used the tractor one time this year after a snow and that was mostly out of boredom.  Hard to blow an inch more or less.

This is what my shop door looked like this morning. Last nite I covered the door knob lock with a surgical glove, glad I did. I hope your son got back to his home OK!

I had the curtain doors off and got caught with this snow, I pushed my drive with them off and thought " call me a puss but I'm getting them doors back on ". The wind is really doing some blowing. Got'em back on and pushed both neighbor's driveways and up an down or road. And it is still coming down!

Never seen a set up like that. Looks like the yellow boots covers are on upside down.  :poke:

We are getting a bit. It's been nothing major so far an inch or two.

We are supposed to max out at 4 by tomorrow evening.

Nothing big. But down where I work part of the time at said they already have 6" of snow and its still coming down.

I keep watching all the reports on TV. I hope you folks on the East Coast keep your heads down and wait it out. There's no reason to go out tonight and take a chance. Just make some popcorn and get on Netflix.

Well they just changed our Winter Storm Warning to Blizzard Warning. Originally they were predicting 8"-14" total snow accumulation, but have now undated it to 14"-24" total accumulation. I'm wondering now if I should have mounted the snowthrower on the old 110 rather than the blade. I also see that they updated Washington DC's snow accumulation to 24"-36". I'm supposed to be headed down there on Tuesday morning. Guess that won't be happening, especially if we get the 40-50 mph winds tomorrow afternoon like they are predicting.

Instead of getting the tractor ready this past week, maybe I should have been checking the generator!  :wallbanging:

Anyone in the path of this storm, please be safe and check in with us from time to time so that we know you all are alright. Also, any members living close to another member, stay in contact with each other. Don't want anybody suffering alone!!! Take Care everyone, and be safe.

Just watched the news, there may be 3-4" in DC. Words like "Blizzard" "Dangerous" "Millennial Storm" were on the TV while I was looking at the screen thinking I drove thru more than that last week...

Not saying its not a game changer, and that the storm will get bad (hope everyone is OK and stays safe) but so far, the WDC reports seem to be much ado about very little.

Blower and the tractor are both fueled up. Sitting next to the wood stove enjoying the evening. The last big snow we had, I ended up with an eight foot drift at the end of my drive. Stay safe everyone!

Ouch! That hurt...

We got about 10" and then the drifts. My ol tractor made me proud today. North East hang in there!
Every once in a while I can hear the timber breaking in the woods. Recon the weight of the ice and the wind is the culprit. I'm in for the nite.
