We are getting it here in the mid south and look out for the east coast! Went out early this morning and loaded up the stove in the shop...thank God I am off next 3 days! Gonna try to push some snow later if I can for my neighbor's.

well, just to rub it in a bit I only have about 2-3 inches here in Canada  and we are not expected to be affected by that big storm front down south, but if you pm me I can give you southerners some pointers on how to make an igloo, ha ha ha, but in all seriousness be safe I think more people die shoveling themselves out than by the storm itself, when a big one happens up here and it will sooner than later I usually just hunker down for a few days , the only thing I have to shovel is a place for my little dogs to go, I'd loose them in a foot of snow, ha ha ha

The storm is moving in here about 3pm. Schools closing at 11:30 today, we are not expecting much but an inch of ice and snow can shut us down

Hope I don't need this

Unfortunately the width of the feed alley and the concrete bunk geometry won't allow using the little FEL:(

It's not looking good for you folks East of here!

Daniel, any way to widen that area this summer? That's gonna be a lot of snow to shovel!

We were supposed to get a "blizzard" in Cincy 2-4" in north up to 20" south to Lexington. Now they are saying Cincy only 2-4" and I am far enough north, maybe none :rocker2:  :dancingbanana:  :dancingbanana: :dancingbanana:  :dancingbanana:

Still coming down here, gonna wait a little longer before I climb on the 149. Watching Nashville news and Music City looks like Atlanta a yr or so ago. Vehicle's big and small stranded, interstates going through the city is just a mess! State routes just as bad and some closing. I used to work for TDOT and in my county we lived in our truck's .... Nashville is always known as "Crashville" . I feel for my ol coworker's right now, I miss them but sure don't miss the danger.

It's pouring it on here Kevin!  Looking like last March all over again.  Snowed 15" that time.

Y'all got 4" more than we did last year...take care of that back shoveling, we been using ours at work already. Hoping the state will let us get a walk behind blower, soon!

Won't a small snow blower work in the feed bunks?

We got about 4" last Monday & Tuesday.  Wouldn't have bothered to blade the drive if a guy wasn't coming to get a tractor I sold him.  Co. grader was going by when he got here and stopped him and asked if he would plow the road clear across so his pickup and trailer could get through.  Afraid he couldn't make it other wise ? ?  From SW corner of Iowa and don't think he ever got out of town before !

What is it about people any more that they cannot remember how to drive from one winter to the next.  Have the same thing up here.  Soon as the roads get some slick spot or get snow covered it's like crash city USA.  When get into trouble and fly off in the ditch they holler at the road crews cause they didn't have the roads clear and they hit a patch of  "black ice", - -  modern term for stupid driving.  Farmer John  has the right idea.  Just hunker down and let it blow on by.  That's what we do.
