First thing you want to do is grab a hand full of dirt and rub it all over that bright red seat. Then clean it off right away and it will be broke in and probably will never get dirty again. Very nice looking seat. Much better than the Chinese made stretch to fit jobs we see in the stores.

Thanks for the kind words and also to Robert for getting it back to you. Glad it got to you safe and sound - look forward to seeing pictures of it on your 1000.
You did a great looking job on that seat. Are you going to start doing it as a business? Good Luck, Rick

Thanks for the kind words. I am trying to feel my way slowly by doing a few covers and unique seats such as this one as time permits. Time will tell whether it turns into a businiess or remains just a hobby to keep me out of trouble and off the streets. One of the factors is the cost of shipping, labour and materials makes the final price a bit more than most people want to spend on a lawn tractor seat which I understand.

AC seats from the Simplicity Club go for $100(US), last I checked. If you were going to do them for profit, you would want to work out all the patterns and make a bunch at a time. I used to fabricate sheet metal parts for projects and found a materials savings when doing 16 of the parts at a time because the way they fit on the raw sheets. I for one am hoping to buy a couple of Bolens seat cushions when I can make some seat frames. Take your time and be comfortable before jumping into something. Good Luck, Rick

Beautiful job !
I get stressed hemming a pair of jeans, and they're not complicated at all.
