The guys that paint these up really shoot themselves in the foot.  If the price is set for the common JD enthusiast, it can't sell.  The JD guys won't bite, and anyone recognizing it for it's true brand won't either!

Except this gent did buy it 20 years ago.
I forwarded Tahoe's input and told him I would pass along any other.

He's used and maintained it for 20 years, and doesn't even know what it is!?

I'm supposing he doesn't use is local JD dealer for much (it is a Simplicity, afterall..don't need a dealer too often)   :rolling:

Yeah, I don't buy his line at all.  No way one could own something 20 years and not know the make.  Likely owned it 20 days.

More like 20 minutes. Those are pretty obvious to tell that they are simplicity.

He did say he wondered why it was a struggle to get parts thru his JD dealer.

I could see it happening, remote yes but plausible. Automatically it BS ? Why because he's not a collector? he's corrected his post, no go screw yours self replies, what if he is sick? Sometime IDK about human nature does cynicism have to be the first response, I understand skeptics , it's a given.. Good for you MH 81 for your help, Yea I know it's a CL add..

Well gee wiz, I  don't know prices on those but somebody above indicated it wasn't bad...if the guy really is sick,  somebody close enough go make an offer and repaint the thing before it ends up scrapped.

I'm not flush by any means but if one of you "traveling guys" can deal on that and deliver it to my place I'd find the $400. Shoot I'm still trying to figure how I could get that MF10 from Canada without ending up divorced ! I saw it plow at Daniels and it is every bit of what DH1 says it is. I wanted to call to see if it was Canada dollars or U.S. but at that point I'd be hooked...

I'm always surprised at what people don't know.
That's a really good machine, at a reasonable price.
Obviously, it's given him many years of relativity trouble free service.
By the way, I believe that's a MTD plow someone managed to attach?
