Going for more weight then?

I don't want those tires to spin when I'm picking up a load! :)

Finally had some time to media blast the fender, dash, and fel.  I ran out of sand while working on the fel.  I'll have to get some more tomorrow.

I got some more sand so I could do some more blasting.  I found a couple more spots on the FEL that will need some more welding.  I can get the front rims primed and painted so I can get the frame rolling again.  The back rims have been replaced by the PO so all I will have to do with them is scuff them up and repaint.

After closer inspection of the front tires I've decided to replace them.  They had a lot of cracks and even some chucks missing.  I had the local tire store remove the old tires and they found a lot of rust on the inside of one of the rims.  I sand blasted it, straightened out the rim lip, removed this black tar like stuff, and got it ready for primer.  The back tires are still in good shape but I've decided to repaint the rims so they look the same as the front rims.

Should have a rolling chase by this weekend!

I sprayed the first coat of IH white on the wheels today.  I like the way they turned out so far.

Finished painting the wheels on Friday so I installed the rear tires today.  I saw this somewhere on this site about cutting the head off of an extra lug nut and using it to hold the wheel up while I installed the other lug nuts.  It worked really good.

I thought that the wheels turned out really good until I saw the bottom of the front rim.

I don't know how I missed getting paint on this part.  I'll touch that up after the tire people install my new tires on Monday.  That will give the paint a little more time to harden.

When installing the loaded tires on Alice I threaded one lug bolt in from the back to align things easier.

I got my new front tires mounted to the freshly painted rims.  The rims got scratched up a little when they installed the tire but I knew that would happen.  I finally have a rolling frame again!  I'm hoping to have the fender and dash primed tomorrow night.  We're suppose to be in the mid 70's the rest of the week.

Tires look good on there. I like those fronts, may get some of those for the Ford.

Thanks!

They're the same style that the tractor came with.  They're really just a 6 ply trailer tire.  They cost $104 total installed.  I didn't want something that was going to tear up my grass.  My property is pretty flat so I didn't think that I would need anything with aggressive tread.  I may install the turf tires from the 129 parts tractor if the ag tires cause to much damage.

P.S.

Alice is looking really sweet!  Can't wait to see how she performs!

Came home from work and prepared the fender for primer.  Should be able to get a coat of paint on by Friday.

I sprayed the second coat of primer today.  Tomorrow I apply my first coat of IH Yellow.

I've finished painting the fender for the tractor.  Won't be able to work on the tractor until next week so I'll have to wait to see what it looks like on the tractor.
