Got an email form my ISP this afternoon that I have used up 100% or my anytime usage allotment. Be real S L O W going for the rest of the week. Darn videos and downloads really eat up the bandwidth. That's why I stay clear away from U-Tube and any other video that pops up. Have the auto run shut off on all of them the the one local news station found a way around that and as soon as their email is opened it starts to load. 10 second commercial first all the time before I can get it stopped.
They seem to think those videos put them "on the cutting edge" . They're right - I just cut them off completely.

ad block plus works really well for that.
It keep that added to my chrome browser, usually do my regular browsing with IE.
I open up GT talk and it even blocked the banner adds on here. I use it because it cuts down on ads on youtube.

I'm in the same boat this week, and frankly I'm hitting the alarm and rolling back over. It's just too cold before daylight lately...U-tube etc. sucks my system dry just loading the background stuff, even the weather wastes a bunch. I'll look into that blocker toomanytoys mentioned.

I had Hugh's years ago til DSL came around. They made all kinds of special offers of more bandwidth and less money when I tried to cancel but I went with DSL.Same thing for my friend,he got unlimited bandwidth.I think Hugh's throttled you down for 24 hours and Starband went by the month back then.Verizon has LTE,you might use that at the bargaining table to negotiate more bandwidth.

I wish I could get more bandwidth here. I asked the last repair guy who came out when we were going to get U-verse up here. He said never. I guess the cows aren't good customers.
