hows it going!  new here but ive been the owner of a 71 or 72 montgomery ward 33145a for about 12 years.  i picked it up off an old landlady that had it left at an old farmhouse.  when i got it the variable pully was broke so i went with a fixed and was able to use it for a couple years mowing.  about 9 years ago i moved to a little house with a tiny yard so its done a lot of sitting.  i mounted a 4wheeler snow blade to it and fashioned some linkage to get the hydraulics to lift it, but the old pump only lasted one snow.  its kinda been parially disassembled for the last 4 or 5 years.  well it got flooded out a few weeks ago so it was thrown back on the front burner cause its just too cool to let go.  i should be able to get it back running tomorrow, got all the water out of it and fresh oil in, got a new carb, battery, fuel lines and a case of oil to run through it to clean out the sludge.

i frequent forums for everything else i cant leave alone so hopefully ill get this thing back in great shape with a little help from here!

Nice looking Monkey, is that muffler OEM? Wow!

Anyways, what's up with the hydraulics? Have you troubleshot the possible issues?

the hydraulic pump went bad, im just going to mount a pump to the pto if the need ever arises.  it has a windrow mover that sucks for a yard so i dont see myself ever using it to mow.
