If weather holds out and nothing comes up, I should be able to make the drive by then.  I've been wanting to come for years.  Now it won't be anywhere near the date of my plow day either!

Where's this plow day located?  The name sounds familiar.

Please keep us posted on this when you find out more info.  I'm having withdrawals and trying to come up with a game plan on how many plow days I can make it to this fall.

I was so busy trying to get the plows into the ground I didn't get any pictures.   The ground was  really hard, dry clay,  and rolled back into the furrow.   Instead of my tractor sitting in a 5-6" furrow it was setting almost level and  the plow was at such an angle it didn't want to penetrate into the dirt.  When it did it wouldn't go more than a few inches deep.   I tried resetting the arms and top link but ran out of adjustment.  Edy's tractor had the same problems.   Rolling back into the furrows made for a rough ride, and sometimes I had to get off and move clumps of the hard clay because the front wheels wouldn't roll over or through them.

We met some good people and enjoyed the day, but the plowing was difficult.    Also I had a flat tire on the trailer.  I had everything to change it except the key to the padlock securing the spare tire to the trailer!!!    One of the club members made a short trip home and got a pair of bolt cutters and all was well.

We shared some quality  time with Mike and Chris Dahms  (MRMD),  Grumpy, and a few other members whose names I don't remember.    Glad to see them again, and look forward to seeing them at  the next plow day.     Rick
