This must just be a tube-frame thing.  The original snowcaster on my 1250 was yellow and had the same round back as the NOS/NIB red snow caster we picked up to replace it.  Scrapped the original snow caster but saved the gear box, chute and frame.


Largeframes all had "round back" designs for the casters

The Snow Caster looks great, and on a sharp looking tractor. I rebuilt the gear box and replaced the bearing on mine this fall. Wanted to paint mine, but ran out of time. This makes me want to take it back apart and paint it next summer. Its amazing how far they can throw the snow when there running good.
