I'm not picking on you and your event specifically, but just where is "Same location as last 2 years"?

You know, you really should give the location of your event.

Sure, you know, and a lot of other folks know as well.

But, what about any newcomers?  Are they supposed to just get it by osmosis?

I see this in a lot of listings for events.

If you only want the  'same old gang', then keep the location secret.  If not make sure to list it in the first post and don't make people have to ask where it is.

I not only see this on the net, but the same goes for fliers.  Very often they don't give a location, and give a web site at most.

Come on people, if you want new blood at your events, make it easy for them to find you!.

Scroll to the bottom of the thread from last year on this link and there's a copy of a flyer from last year OldBuzzard.  These guys run a first rate event so I wouldn't be too hard on them.  Without a doubt an event that should be on every GT lovers calender.  I plowed last year till I had my fill of it and the plowing was still going on when I left.

Here is a post from Alan last year:

1820 River Rd Watsontown, PA 17777

Here's a copy and paste from a post Josh made last year:

The address is 1820 river rd as stated above This is actually the farmers house so the show ground will be past this about half a mile, just follow the signs from route 15 or 405, signs at big white boards with plow day on them with an arrow cant miss them!!

... These guys run a first rate event so I wouldn't be too hard on them.  ...

Like I said, I'm not aiming that specifically at this particular event.

It's more a general rant and this thread just happened to be where I finally said to my self, "Self, that all I can stands, I can stands no more". :D :D :D

I could just as easily have done it in Grumpy's thread on the Keck Gonnerman plow day where he did the same thing.

Announced it with no location given.

To me, not informing your potential attendees of your location says one of two things: EGO: i.e. "We are so big you should know where we are", or LAZINESS, i.e. "I can't be bothered to tell you where we are, so you can look it up yourself".

Old buzzard, since you dont know where the event is im guessing you have never been here before? Why not? Maybe you should attend this year as we always welcome new people, we have had over 200 tractors now and have plowed close to 100 acres and have attendees from 12 states and canada so theres always room for you but more importantly then you know next year when i post dates. And if you really wanted to know where it was at a simple question would of been nice instead of going on your little rant under my post.

Well oldbuzzard hope to see you in april. And stay tuned for more details!

Actually, I DO know where it's at.  It's just a bit farther than I am interested in going.

This year, I just might make it, as I'll be on my way back from FL, and will be stopping at the Ball Hollow event.

I just may detour over to yours and then to the WPGTA event on the way back home.

Like I sad before.  My rant is about ALL of the folks that don't give the address in the first post, not yours in particular.

As a "newcomer" I appreciate the sentiment.  I've had to go digging 'round to find the information from previous years.

Not everyone will be willing or able to do that.
