I included a few before pics of the Brinly cultivator. It seems to be in good overall condition, but needed a freshening up. The plan is to paint the framework Massey Ferguson red, to match the tractor, and the tines are already done in Flint Gray Metallic. We also have a couple of MF decals to put on it after being painted.

We were at Garden Tractor Daze in Portage, WI last summer and it was an inspiration to keep chugging along on this to have it ready for this summer. Unfortunately, a newer job for me, young kids and general life have all slowed this up and we're not going to have any tractors there again this year. At least the kids will have fun at the Dells and my wife can get some sun this weekend after the show!

The two-tone rims turned out very well, as well as everything else so far!  Nice work!

Coming together very nicely.
The stickers make the cultivator pop. I see one on the top angle bar in one pic and a different side one in another.

I had forgotten about the engine being white, made me zoom in LOL
It's neat you're leaving it that color, it'll make for a conversation starter.

What colour did you use for the silver sheet metal, dash tower, and gas tank? Doesn't look like it matches the grill which would be silver mist, although I was thinking the correct colour would be flint grey metallic to match the frame. Been awhile since I've seen one restored correctly. Either way it looks good, coming along nicely.

Beautiful job. The silver and red Masseys were always my favorite color. After seeing yours, I have got to get me one to restore.

MH81, I bought decals for this cultivator and decals for a wagon we plan to build at the same time. When I was picking through the pile for the cultivator decals I grabbed the wagon decals and put them on without realizing it at first. I caught it a couple of weeks later and swapped them out. So yes, the pics have different stickers. Good eye!

mac102004, we used Flint Gray Metallic on the frame, brackets and accessories. Silver Mist was used on the grille and wheels.

Awesome work! Right down to the new bolts holding on the spades on the cultivators! I have moved my cultivator closer to the garage!:)

Regards,

 Chris

Just a little off topic but where and what clevis pins did you use to mount it?  I have the rototiller but the manual makes no mention of what size the three should be.

The cultivator is pinned to the sleeve hitch with just one hitch pin. The sleeve hitch is pinned to it's brackets, which are bolted to the frame. I'll get a picture and post it later today.
