So I know paint comes up alot on here and I've read a few different colors work but my question is do you guys think cat yellow would work? I only ask because I have a gallon can in my closest that I bought for something else and it fell through so now its kinda just collecting dust and it wasn't very cheap either since I got it at the implement so I was thinking hey maybe it'd work for a b series mower which I plan on repainting. If it won't work it'll probably just go in the trash cause I haven't found any other uses for cat yellow sadly .

"Old Cat Yellow" is a fairly good match for the B series Allis machines. Current Cat yellow is too bright...Dave

Lol crap its new yellow. Hi noticeable you think I'd be very or not a whole lot. I feel bad not using paint I paid like forty bucks for. I was gonna piant my car cat yellow and black but the guy who was set to help me left me high and dry so that's why I'd like to at least try and use it. I heard hd industrial yellow was the way to go so I figured cat yellow has to be close

How about a Cat Yellow stripe about a foot wide from front bumper to the rear, skipping over the windows of course?

I have 5 B series tractors. The first two I did were new cat yellow cuz I couldn't, find old cat. Then I found old cat yellow in rustoleum and did the next three. There is a slight difference but I would use wut you got and it will look fine.

Yay thanks amigo preciate it. I mean even at Tractor shows you see alot of variables of orange and no one every really cares. I guess industrial yellows are kinda all the same when you get down too it.

"Old Cat Yellow" is a fairly good match for the "LATE" B series Allis machines. Current Cat yellow is too bright...Dave

Old Cat has too much of a mustard color to come close to a Big Ten/late B-10, and is light years from the first generation yellow used on B-1's and early B-10's.  They are a much softer yellow.

When it comes to refurbishing a machine, all that work can be lost behind quickie paint.  My favorite color of the B series is the early tractors with the pale yellow.  I hate wasting paint, but I also hate looking at work I've done that I wish I had done better.

What color do YOU like?

I guess my best bet it to open it up and put it on cardboard or something and see what it looks like I do love cat yellow but i also like historical accuracy so I'm kinda torn in the middle
