Morning Gentlemen and Ladies

I am new to this forum. I just acquired a Super 3 from a friend who used it as yard art. It has the Continental AU85, with the Carter N carb.  I would like to get it running. It came with a snow plow, disc, plow, and tiller. The engine is not frozen. It is missing reverse block and spring components and the carburetor and governor aren't hooked up and I'm not sure on the correct assembly of cables. I took off the tank and it is rusted with many pin holes. The carb was frozen so I took it apart and plan to find a rebuild kit. The plan is to figure out a fuel tank, rebuild thee carb, figure out the fuel, magneto cabling and try to fire it up. I will search the forum for part suppliers and advice from those who have been through this. I have some experience rebuilding a Farmall Cub, but this is my first DB.

Thanks

Pat

I too have a db walk basically that was in the same condition. I am not a fan of walk behinds but I always liked the look. I am about 1/2 way through restoring it.
fortunately thousands were made and they hold more value in parts so ebay is your best bet. I picked up everything I needed there. I paid 15 bucks for a mint gas tank.
I would pull the tires off a clean up the inside of the rims and brush paint rustoleum. most were loaded with calcium.
they are pretty simple parts diagrams are easily found here on elsewhere on line

Welcome to GTTalk !   I have 2  DB Super Powers  with Continental engines , let me know if you any pictures

I would love a couple of pictures if you can. One showing the correct cable hook up for the Carb and the Governor. A second showing your reverse drive hubs if you have it. Here is what I have and I know I am missing components.

Thanks

So that's what that dang thing is. Couldn't figure out how to disengage it and the tractor wouldn't roll so I removed it for now so I could move the tractor around (that was no easy project, stuck pretty good). Yes it came with a tiller, a moldboard plow, a snow plow and a disc harrow. No plans to sell anything yet until I figure out what I need and what I don't, but I will certainly give you a shout if/when I do. Thank you.
