Not a GT but I just couldn't leave it to be melted down. I have a 5 H.P. Briggs for it and need to get a sprocket for the motor to have it running. Then I'll strip it back down and paint it.

I have one of those! I still have the fiberglass body that goes on it as well.

Mine was sold by JCPenny's in the 70s it was marketed as a Mini Scat Tracker.

It originally had a Tecumseh 3.5 horse on it. I wore that engine slam out. The last time I had it running I used a 2.5 horse Briggs on it and it still moved!

These things are fun but very dangerous in sharp turns. I rolled mine taking a turn at speed. The rear lifted and off I rolled.

One of these days I will put another engine on it and put around the ranch on it, provided my fat butt fits on it anymore.

Seems the chopper wasn't made and sold like the 2 wheeler was. I've been doing a little reading on them and can't find one.

Bird%20Mini-Scat%20Tracker.jpeg

Finally found a picture.  1976 Bird Mini Scat-Tracker..

Bird Engineering made many different bikes, trikes, and go karts.  They were sold under many different names.  JcPenny, Western Auto, Monkey Wards, Ect all sold bikes by different manufactures with different names on them.

There is a lot of misinformation out there surrounding store branded bikes.  If you look up scat tracker on the Wikipedia(known for great information) they say JCpenny manufactured these, and has a picture of a Scat Tracker with a set of Cat eliminator forks on it....completely wrong in many ways...

I found this one at a scrap yard. It may have had the body on it before it was scrapped and who ever scrapped it most likely tore it off. There is one on Ebay that has been restored and the guy put a new body on it (so he said) BUT refused to tell me where he purchased it.
